Hydronic underfloor heating involves a flow of warm water (30-45°C) through a network of pipes positioned within the floor either in the thermal mass (concrete slab) or between timber joists on an aluminum diffusion plate. The heat through the pipes allows a gentle warming of space which keeps the air temperature at a stable level.

Hydronic underfloor heating is the most cost effective and comfortable heating solution in the world as recognized under the ISO 7730 standard, Ergonomics of the Thermal Environment.

  • In-slab floor heating - Pipes are secured on a steel reinforcing mesh and concrete is poured over it.
  • In-screed floor heating - Pipes are secured on an existing concrete slab and a thin screed is poured to cover the pipes.
  • Aluminum Diffusion Plate - Pipes are installed in an aluminum plate between the timber floor joists.
